I run regular Saturday morning throwing classes and 8 week courses at Clay Shed.

This introduction to throwing course is aimed at complete beginners. Over the course of 8 weeks, our tutor will guide you through the various stages of throwing so that by the end of the course you will feel confident throwing a basic cylinder, mug and bowl. There will also be time to experiment with slip decoration and glazing.

These sessions are limited to 4 students and you will have your own wheel for the entire session.

Costs include all materials and firing.

These one off pottery sessions are aimed at complete beginners. Our tutor will guide you through the various stages of throwing so that by the end of the session you are throwing independently. We will then fire and glaze your pieces ready for collection.
